In the 1940’s and 1950’s, Chocolate Rum Pecan was one of the four original flavors that made the Straits of Mackinac famous for fudge. Chocolate Pecan, Vanilla Pecan, and Maple Pecan accompanied Chocolate Rum to provide the wealthy Chicago vacationers a treat they would not soon forget. We’ve since substituted whole English walnuts in place of the pecans, creating an even more appealing flavor.
